Ever wondered what it's like to swing a sword, sew a Renaissance
gown, or shoot a longbow — with people who'll teach you
everything from scratch? That's us.
Who We Are
The Canton of Aire Faucon is a local chapter of the Society
for Creative Anachronism, a worldwide community that brings
the Middle Ages back to life. We're part of the Barony
of the Sacred Stone, in the Kingdom
of Atlantia.
What We Do
We don't just read about history — we make it. Armored
combat. Rapier fencing. Archery. Equestrian arts. Cooking,
embroidery, and fiber arts. Music. If it existed before 1600,
chances are someone in our Canton is doing it, and they'd love to
show you how. Show up empty-handed — we've got loaner gear
and patient teachers.
Where We Are
We call Gaston, Cleveland, and Lincoln counties home, in the
Piedmont area of North Carolina — but you don't have to
live here to join us. All our activities are open to anyone
curious enough to show up.
